God calls the persecuted blessed!
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” – Matthew 5:11-12
Since the early days of Beit Hallel Congregation, we faced with persecutions from the Orthodox community. Imagine having a growing congregation that is impacting the city and surrounding areas, generating change while carrying the message of Yeshua; it was only a matter of time before Beit Hallel’s ever growing reach was deemed as “dangerous” by those who oppose the Gospel.
Now, as we yet again found ourselves in a season of intense persecutions, with Orthodox presence outside our building every Shabbat service, praying against us, cursing us, trying to disrupt and instil fear in the people who come to our services.
I guess we truly have become “too dangerous”. Which is a powerful thing! When the enemy is so disturbed by the work of God through you, that you become “worthy” of persecutions.
God’s word is very clear in 2 Timothy 3:12 – “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…”
God has been touching our city through our work, we see how far reaching our impact has been, to the extent that religious authorities have launched a campaign against us, trying to put obstacles in our path. Yet, despite their many efforts, we have seen God going before us and removing obstacles, one after another!
“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.” – Isaiah 45:2
Every time we were targeted with religious persecutions for our faith, we have simultaneously experienced powerful breakthroughs. Much like now.
