Giving Tuesday

“We make a living by what we get;
we make a life by what we give.”

This year has been filled with challenges, but also with powerful life-lessons. God taught us so much through this stormy 2020. So many of us have had to change, adapt, restructure, redesign and rethink our old way of doing things.

We have also seen how devastating this year has been for the most vulnerable. Those who have the least have been facing the most hardships and have needed help more than ever.

Families that were struggling to survive before the pandemic, found themselves with nothing to live on, as many lost their jobs, couldn’t afford to pay rent, and in some cases, we have been bringing food supplies to widows and single mothers who would show us their empty fridge with tears in their eyes, desperate and grateful at the same time that we were able to help them as they struggled to even buy basic groceries for their kids.

Yeshua words resonate powerfully with us as we enter this holiday season:

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’…
…’Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Matthew 25:31-46
