“For You have been a strength to the poor,
A strength to the needy in his distress,
A refuge from the storm,
A shade from the heat”
In the past week we had the privilege to visit a few Kibbutzim (Kibbutz — collective community that was traditionally based on agriculture) where we met several Jewish families that recently immigrated to from Ukraine and Russia.
During this trying time of lockdowns and restrictions, it was wonderful to see these precious folks with smiles on their faces, still enthusiastic about starting a new life in Israel despite the hardships, full of hope and looking forward to what the future holds for their families.
Starting a new life in Israel in a Kibbutz is such an interesting and unique experience. It is a place where you can truly get a sense of what life looked like for pioneers who built this country from the ground up.
We arrived at each Kibbutz with beds, mattresses, pillows, comforters and winter blankets, TV sets, house essentials, as well as a care package for each child.
God always places kind people on our path, like the amazing moving company that volunteered their services, just willing to help out of compassion and kindness. Here in Israel so many of us know what it is like to leave everything behind and move to a new country without anything. To know that you can help someone go through this process with more ease is a blessing in itself.
We’re thankful also to all the organizations and generous friends, both local and international, that are supporting us. Your trust and faith goes such a long way, and it propels us to move forward in our humanitarian efforts. Thanks to this amazing support, hundreds of families receive help in a time of need.
Become part of this amazing move of kindness in action by blessing the people of Israel!
