“And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace…”

Paul was saying his goodbyes to a newly established church, young believers, and he was leaving them with the prayer for God’s power, committing them into God’s mercy. In Hebrew it says: “I commit you to God’s hands…” We couldn’t possibly be in a better place than when we are in His hands. Even when we need someone and nobody around us is available, or there’s no one that can be by our side in a moment of need, we can always be sure that God is with us in those times.

Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Acts 20:32

This scripture shows us the power of God’s grace, His constant presence leading us, keeping us, working in us. Even when we cannot be in the church for one reason or another, especially during this covid season when we are forced to be away from our fellowships, it encourages me specifically as a pastor when I cannot be near everybody and give them what I’ve always given them — I know that much like Paul, I can entrust people to the hands of God (Yadei Elohim in Hebrew). Remember, you can be far from people, but you are never far from God. He is holding you in His hand always, your children are in the Hands of God. There might be people in your life you would like to reach out to and help, but for some reason are unable to, know and believe that they too are in the hands of God, in His grace and His mercy. God is a merciful God, and He is working on our behalf all the time. I pray you will experience the powerful knowledge of being in the hands of the Lord, and may it encourage you in time of need.
