From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks.
Leviticus 23:15
Most of the biblical feasts were appointed by God to be celebrated at a certain time and date, however, the Feast of Pentecost is the only one when God said we are to start counting 50 days (7 weeks) from the first day of the Passover feast. Among other things, it is a feast of counting down. A time given to us for preparation for the harvest ahead. A special time of grace where we have to be focused, prepare ourselves, count every day, and make every day count. Currently, we’re in the very process of this preparation — the Pentecost Countdown.
