The vision for this ministry has its roots in Acts 2:42-25
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.” (Acts 2:42-45)
Every week our congregation gathers in homes to have meetings in more intimate family-like settings. It is a very important part of our ministry, as it helps develop friendships among believers, care for the newly saved, pray for one another and carry each other’s burdens. Home groups are also perfect environment for Bible studies, where people can feel more comfortable to ask question, discuss and grow together spiritually.
When people meet in smaller groups, a bond is created within the group that fosters care and sensitivity towards other people’s needs, when someone is going through difficulties, being able to reach out a helping hand, encourage, inspire and simply be a friend.
Home groups are an enormous tool that truly serves to strengthen the whole congregation.
