We wanted to share with you an important prayer request for a dear family that is a part of our pastoral team.
Naomi and Igor were leading family ministry and marriage counseling at Beit Hallel, helping disciple and guide many couples both to the Lord and in building godly marriages and families.
This wonderful couple has a beautiful family, and they are an important part of our Beit Hallel family.
When Naomi was first diagnosed with colon cancer, we knew God was preparing her for the fight of her life, quite literally. It truly has been a battle, and she has been fighting it valiantly, with every ounce of faith Jesus placed in her heart. She hasn’t been discouraged once and has been a powerful testimony of the deep work the Lord does in our hearts when we face incredibly difficult times. Not only has she not given up fighting, but she has also been a source of encouragement to many, sharing the beauty that God has been showing her throughout her fight.
When Naomi was first diagnosed, she shared her story and prayer request in her own words:
“The last two months of corona haven’t been easy for anyone, but for us, they’ve been particularly difficult.
I came back to Israel from a lovely holiday in the UK seeing family, celebrating my youngest brother’s wedding, and running a half marathon to raise money for The Royal Marsden, a cancer hospital.
The first week I was back I gradually noticed some problems with my health, pain in my back making it almost impossible to sleep, then a swelling on my neck. Our doctor sent me to do some tests and a few days later we were in a Tel Aviv Hospital in their cancer department trying to grasp what the doctor was saying that I have cancer of the colon which has spread around my body.
I’ve now had a port, a catheter put in and am preparing for chemotherapy which will begin shortly. My husband, Igor, and I are praying, reading the word, and seeking God’s face at this incredibly difficult time.
A big thank you to everyone who we’ve managed to tell and who has blessed us in the most amazing ways. For those who are reading about this for the first time please join us in prayer for total healing and restoration for me and for support for our kids and for my amazing husband Igor.

It has been close to two years that Naomi has been battling aggressive colon cancer, yet neither she nor her family has given up. We are all still standing firmly with her on God’s promises, knowing He is a faithful God and a loving Father. His grace is enough! Yeshua promised us that.
A few days ago Naomi’s doctors gave her 2-3 months, however, God isn’t limited by human limitations. His times are perfect and His promises are true. Regardless of the situation or the darkness Naomi might face, God will never let go of His child’s hand.
