The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing…
Isaiah 35:1
God promised that even the desert will rejoice because His people will return to their ancient homeland and dwell in it once again. Can it be? That even a place as dry and desolate as a deer will “rejoice and blossom abundantly” because God’s prophecy has been fulfilled regarding the return of the Jewish people to Israel! The people of Israel did not find a flourishing garden when they first started returning to this land. In fact, they found terrible conditions; a barren land that needed endless amounts of work and nourishment in order to produce anything at all. However, God is faithful! That is why, as you can see in the video, today we can stand in the middle of an olive grove that grows in the middle of the Negev Desert. Only God can accomplish such a thing! When He blesses His people, even in the midst of the harshest desert of your life, you will see rejoicing and abundant blossoming. He promised it! I pray over your life, standing right here in this dry desert land of the Negev, that regardless of what your life or circumstances looks like now, God’s promise will come to pass in your life. I pray that God’s power will come down on your life, that He will raise you up from the midst of your circumstances and release His blessing over you. If God could bless the Negev’s dry and dead desert land with blooming fields, crops, orchards, and groves, He can also do that miracle in your life and breathe His life into your dry and dead soil. Remember, God is faithful to His promises and to His Word!
