The Promises of God

The Bible is filled with God’s promises. It fills my heart with joy reading them, like the one in Jeremiah 32:40-41

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good… Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’

God says He will rejoice over Israel, just as He rejoices over you and is good to you. Can you imagine? Every time you see God’s goodness in your life, every time you see His blessings, His favor; He rejoices. It gives Him joy to bless you, your children and your family! What an amazing God we serve! He is not looking to punish you, or find fault in you, on the contrary, He rejoices in you and is looking how to bless you and do you good. All the good gifts, all the goodness, all the wonderful things that come into our lives, come from our God. When he promised in verse 41: “I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart, and with all My soul.’” He kept His promise. I’m an Israeli, planted in the land of Israel, just as God promised. He is not only good to us and blesses us, but it says: “with all My heart and with all My soul…” Imagine that! God himself says He will bless us, He will rejoice over us; blessing us gives Him joy! And He will continue doing good unto us with all His heart and soul. What can be greater than that? Absolutely overwhelming grace and mercy of God. I pray over you that you have a blessed and peaceful Shabbat (Shabbat Shalom) and weekend for you, your family, loved ones, and remember: God rejoices to bless you with all His heart and all His soul! Let’s rejoice in Him then, and serve Him with all our hearts and all our souls.
