As Haim shared Scripture and a testimony with Alexei, tears welled up in his eyes. “I want that,” he whispered. “I want to invite Jesus into my life.”
The two men met at a recent meeting held by Voice of Judah Israel’s ministry in Jerusalem. Haim noticed Alexei standing alone during fellowship, so he approached him with the invitation to join his table. Alexei quietly declined explaining an injury he endured at work. “I think I may have broken my ribs,” he told Haim.
Life-Changing Words
Haim prayed healing over his body and also for a peace that would reach deeper than the pain in his ribs. During their encounter, Haim senses that God wanted to touch something even deeper – the pain in Alexei’s heart. This gave Haim the opportunity to share Irina’s testimony, who also had attended a meeting in Jerusalem with our ministry. Irina believed she had no sin and was a good person in no need of forgiveness. As Haim opened the Bible to Isaiah 53, the words she read pierced her heart.
“He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5
As Irina read the verses, she suddenly realized that Yeshua had taken her sin, pain and shame. When she realized He died in her place, tears filled her eyes, and she surrendered her life to Him. His Word transforms lives!
The Same Tears
Hearing her testimony evoked the same emotion in Alexei. Years of heaviness lifted from his heart. The presence of God filled the room. Haim opened the Bible again to Isaiah 53 and read it together as a living promise. Others nearby could sense what was happening. Mira witnessed this happening and had tears streaming down her face.
“I want this peace,” she said softly. “I’ve been living in so much noise, but I want this.”
Alexei’s peace filled his face undeniably. One by one, people came to embrace him, rejoice with him and welcome him into fellowship. He wasn’t just healed; he was home. This is a reminder of what real ministry looks like. Healing begins when someone feels seen, loved and gently led to Yeshua. When we make space for the Holy Spirit, He does what only He can do.
