Eitan Manpel

Board Member, Elder Beit Hallel Congregation
Eitan Manpel

Pastor Eitan Manpel made Aliyah to Israel from Ukraine twenty-eight years ago, together with his wife, Shelley. From the moment he arrived, Israel became home — a place where God would shape his calling and deepen his heart for ministry.

After settling in Tel Aviv and joining a local congregation, Eitan began serving faithfully. Twenty years ago, following the clear leading of the Lord, he and Senior Pastor Israel Pochtar planted a new fellowship in Ashdod — a step of obedience that laid the foundation for years of fruitful ministry.

In 2017, Eitan walked through a season of deep personal loss when his first wife Shelley went to be with the Lord. Yet even in that difficult time, God tenderly restored his life and later blessed him with a wonderful new wife, Yulia, bringing healing and fresh hope.

In 2018, Eitan and Yulia began humanitarian outreach to new immigrants in Ashkelon. What started as simple acts of kindness soon grew into the first home group — the early beginnings of a new spiritual community.

In 2023, Pastor Israel ordained Eitan and Yulia as lead pastors of the Ashkelon congregation, which today has grown into a warm and thriving community of about 70 believers from Ashkelon and Kiryat Gat. Their heart is to serve, love, and build up God’s people throughout the region.

Sasson Pochtar

Board Member, Youth Pastor, Beit Hallel Congregation
Sasson Pochtar

Sasson Pochtar was raised in a vibrant Jewish Messianic home, the son of Israeli pastors Israel and Vicky Pochtar. Growing up in an atmosphere of worship, service, and faith, he became involved in ministry from a young age. By his bar mitzvah, Sasson was already serving in Beit Hallel’s youth ministry, worship team, evangelism outreaches, and various congregation activities.

At 18, Sasson was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, where he served until the age of 22. During his military service, God began stirring a deep calling toward ministry in his heart. After completing his service, Sasson followed that calling to “Word of Life” Bible School in Uppsala, Sweden, where he devoted himself to biblical studies and spiritual formation.

Upon returning to Israel, Sasson joined the senior leadership team of Beit Hallel Congregation in Ashdod. Since then, he has served faithfully across many areas — worship, youth ministry, teaching, and Beit Hallel’s broad humanitarian work among new immigrant families, single mothers, Holocaust Survivors, and underserved communities.

In July 2017, Sasson married Sophie, and together they are now raising three young daughters, filling their home with joy, laughter, and a love for God’s house.

Today, Pastor Sasson serves as Beit Hallel’s youth pastor and as assistant to Senior Pastor Israel Pochtar. He is also active beyond the congregation, frequently preaching and ministering in churches, congregations, and conferences throughout Israel and abroad. His passion is to raise up a new generation of believers who are rooted in the Word, strong in worship, and bold in their faith.
