Calling of Israel Messianic Congregation was established in Ramle in 2007 as part of a vision to establish strong Messianic communities in cities across Israel.
The story began with a small group of people from the Ramle-Lod area who were traveling to Ashdod to attend services at Beit Hallel Congregation. As the group grew, it became clear that there was a need for a local congregation where believers could worship, grow in their faith, and build community closer to home.
Pastors Ariel and Karen responded to the call to lead this new work, and with the support of Beit Hallel in Ashdod, a Messianic congregation was established in Ramle.
Ramle and neighboring Lod are home to a remarkably diverse population. Jewish and Arab Israelis, new immigrants and longtime residents live alongside one another, giving the area a character unlike many other cities in Israel. Calling of Israel seeks to be a spiritual home where people can encounter Yeshua, study the Word of God, worship together, and grow as disciples.
From its earliest days, sharing the Good News has been an important part of the congregation’s calling. Through personal relationships, congregational gatherings, Bible teaching, prayer, and discipleship, believers are encouraged to deepen their faith and share the hope they have found in Yeshua with others.
The congregation also places a strong emphasis on developing believers for ministry. Our desire is to see people discover their God-given gifts, become grounded in Scripture, and be equipped to serve both within the congregation and in their everyday lives.
Alongside its congregational ministry, Calling of Israel is committed to practical humanitarian service within the local community.
Over the years, assistance has been provided to people facing difficult circumstances, including new immigrants, Holocaust survivors, elderly people, single-parent families, and others in need. This has included food and essential household assistance as well as other forms of practical support.
Humanitarian assistance is provided according to need, regardless of a person’s faith or background. Participation in religious activities or any response to the congregation’s beliefs is never a condition for receiving help.
Looking to the future, the congregation has a particular heart for the next generation. Developing ministry among children and young people, strengthening families, discipling believers, and raising up new leaders remain important priorities.
Our vision is to see a healthy and mature Messianic community continue to grow in the Ramle-Lod area—a congregation where people are rooted in the Word of God, strengthened in their relationship with Yeshua, equipped to serve, and prepared to raise up the generations that will follow them.
What began with a handful of people traveling to Ashdod has become a local spiritual home, and we look forward with faith to all that God will continue to build in Ramle.
