A Divine Appointment in Jerusalem:
One Life Changed by the Gospel

One of the most encouraging realities of ministry in Israel is that God is constantly at work in ways we cannot see. Long before a conversation begins, He is already preparing hearts. Long before a believer shares their testimony, He is already drawing people to Himself.

Recently, while members of our outreach team were walking through the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City, they experienced a powerful reminder of this truth.

As they passed through one of the bustling market areas, they stopped to speak with a woman selling spices and herbs from a small stall. What began as an ordinary conversation soon became something much more significant.

The woman, whose name is Anna, shared that she had originally come from Russia and had been living in Jerusalem for some time. Although she was surrounded by people from many different backgrounds and cultures, it became clear that she was searching for something deeper.

As the conversation continued, our team sensed an unusual openness in her heart. Before leaving, one of the believers offered Anna a small card containing a prayer in Hebrew and shared how God had used those same words years earlier as part of his own journey to faith in Yeshua. Anna immediately became interested and asked what the prayer meant.

Standing there in the middle of the marketplace, our team began carefully reading through the prayer with her, explaining each line and sharing the message of God’s love and forgiveness through Yeshua the Messiah.

What happened next was a beautiful reminder that the Gospel is still transforming lives throughout Israel.

As several believers gathered around her, Anna listened intently. Then, with tears filling her eyes, she prayed and opened her heart to Yeshua. In the midst of the noise and activity of Jerusalem’s Old City, God met her in a deeply personal way.

Those present were moved as they witnessed the Lord touching her life. What moments earlier had been an ordinary day in a crowded marketplace became a sacred moment of redemption and new beginnings.

The joy of the occasion was evident to those around them. Passersby stopped to observe what was happening, sensing that something meaningful was taking place. For our team, it was another reminder that the message of the Gospel continues to reach people in the most unexpected places.

Before parting, plans were made to stay connected with Anna, continue studying the Scriptures together, and help her grow in her relationship with the Lord. This is an important part of our ministry in Israel—not only sharing the Good News but also walking alongside those who begin their journey of faith.

Stories like Anna’s remind us that God continues to draw Jewish people to Himself throughout the land of Israel.

In city streets, homes, workplaces, and everyday encounters, lives are being touched by the message of salvation. While headlines often focus on conflict and uncertainty, God is quietly writing stories of redemption that testify to His faithfulness and love.

Please join us in praying for Anna as she begins this new chapter in her life. Pray that she will grow strong in her faith, develop meaningful relationships with other believers, and experience the fullness of God’s purposes for her life.

Thank you for standing with Voice of Judah Israel. Your prayers and partnership help make it possible for us to continue sharing the hope of Yeshua and witnessing lives transformed through the Gospel in Israel.
