Four years ago, Lena arrived in Israel as a non-believer, searching for meaning. Within her first week, she found herself at Voice of Judah Israel’s “Summer for God” Youth Discipleship program. Today she is now returning the favor as a leader with our ministry this summer. She’s giving back because it transformed her.
“I didn’t know God,” she said, reflecting on her arrival to Israel. “I wasn’t even looking for Him, but through this project, I met Him. He changed my life, and now, four years later, I’m helping lead it. I believe the same will happen for others this summer, just like it did for me.”
Her transformation is a reminder that God is faithful to meet those who seek Him, even if they don’t yet realize they’re searching. For her and so many Israeli youth, this isn’t just another summer activity. During this sacred season, they are encountering the Lord together, building unity and lasting friendships.
Faith Into Action
Discipleship is more than just having a knowledge of Yeshua; it’s also about living out the heart of the Gospel. In the first week of “Summer for God,” the teens put their faith into action by preparing food packages for needy families. They served through VOJI’s ministry, Beit Hallel.
“It was my favorite part,” teenager Amelia shared. “We weren’t just talking about love. We were actually doing something about it.”
Bible Comes to Life
This was just one component of the first week. Each day is filled with worship, Bible study, small groups, service projects, leadership training and visiting the Holy sites. There’s something truly sacred about walking out faith in the Land where the Bible happened. As the youth opened Scripture in the very places it happened, they experienced the beauty of God’s promises coming alive. These aren’t just field trips. They are spiritual encounters, shaping the way this generation sees Scripture, sees themselves and sees the God who calls them.
“We go to Holy places,” teenager Alex said. “We learn the Bible, and everywhere we go, it’s just joyful. There’s something different here.”

This is just the beginning of what the Lord is doing through this program. He will orchestrate divine encounters every day in the lives of these Israeli youth. Yeshua is awakening hearts and equipping them to carry His light across Israel and beyond. We’re watching a generation rise up with boldness, purity and passion. They’re worshiping with abandon, praying with authority and stepping out in faith – unafraid to share their testimonies or serve sacrificially.
