Every summer presents opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and make memories. Yet some experiences have the potential to leave a far deeper impact—shaping convictions, strengthening faith, and influencing the course of a life for years to come.
That is what we have witnessed through our Summer Youth Discipleship program for young believers in Israel.
Over the years, we have watched young men and women encounter God in powerful ways. We have seen spiritual breakthroughs, a growing passion for God’s Word, and lives transformed through discipleship, community, and service. What begins as a summer program often becomes a defining season in a young person’s spiritual journey.
This year, participants will once again spend an entire month immersed in discipleship, worship, prayer, fellowship, and biblical learning. Together they will study Scripture, seek God’s presence, encourage one another, and learn how to follow Yeshua faithfully in everyday life.
One of the unique aspects of the program is that young people are able to experience the Bible in the very land where much of its history unfolded. Throughout the month, they will visit Jerusalem, the Galilee, and other locations connected to the life and ministry of Jesus. As they walk through these places and study God’s Word together, biblical truths take on new meaning and become deeply personal.
Equally important are the opportunities to put faith into action. Participants will serve others through practical acts of compassion, assisting families in need, helping Holocaust survivors, supporting new immigrants making Aliyah, and participating in outreach opportunities throughout the community. Through these experiences, they discover that spiritual growth is not only about learning God’s Word but also about living it.
One participant reflected on last year’s program by saying:
“It was an incredible time. We visited biblical places, studied God’s Word, had fun together, and made new friends. Even after the program ended, we continued spending time together and encouraging one another in our faith.”
Her testimony reflects something we witness year after year. Beyond the activities and experiences, lasting friendships are formed among young believers who share a desire to follow Yeshua. Those relationships often continue long after the summer ends, providing encouragement, accountability, and support during some of life’s most important transitions.
These years are especially significant because many participants are approaching pivotal stages of life.
Some will soon enter military service. Others will begin university studies, pursue careers, start families, and step into positions of influence within Israeli society. The spiritual foundations established today will help shape the decisions they make tomorrow.
The Psalmist declared that one generation should tell the next generation of the Lord’s mighty works and faithfulness (Psalm 78:4). This calling remains as important today as ever. We are not simply planning activities for the summer; we are helping strengthen the next generation of believers who will serve the Lord throughout Israel in the years ahead.
