Imagine living up in Israel and stepping onto a boat on the Sea of Galilee. The shoreline is familiar. The names of the towns are familiar. Perhaps many of the Bible stories are familiar too—they belong to the history, language, and landscape of the country. And yet Jesus Himself may remain almost completely unfamiliar. For many Israelis, it is possible to live remarkably close to the places where He walked while never truly hearing the Gospel He preached.
Very soon, hundreds of Israelis will have an opportunity to experience something different. Through Voice of Judah Israel and our partnership with Beit Hallel Congregation, they will spend a day traveling through the Galilee, sharing meals, visiting biblical places, and crossing the Sea of Galilee by boat. Along the way there will be conversations, laughter, questions, and probably a few people wondering when lunch is coming—as there always are.
But the entire day is leading toward something the Beit Hallel team has been praying about for months. Everyone will gather together, and Pastor Israel will open the Scriptures and speak clearly about Jesus as the promised Messiah. He will share about forgiveness, new life, and the hope of the Gospel, and every person there will have the freedom to listen, ask questions, and consider what they have heard.
No one can manufacture what happens inside a person’s heart in a moment like that. Faith cannot be forced, and that is not the purpose of this outreach. What we can do is make sure people have the opportunity to hear.
That is where the practical side of this outreach becomes very personal.
Approximately $100 makes the complete day possible for one Israeli—transportation to and throughout the Galilee, a shared meal, visits to biblical places, the boat trip on the Sea of Galilee, and the evangelistic gathering.
On a budget, $100 is simply a number. On the day itself, it looks completely different. It is someone climbing onto the bus in the morning. It is a plate of food placed in front of them at lunch, a place on the boat as they cross the water, and a chair waiting when Pastor Israel opens the Bible and begins to speak about Jesus. And there are still seats we would love to fill.
We do not know which part of the day someone will remember afterward. Perhaps an important conversation will begin on the bus. Maybe a question will surface while looking across the Sea of Galilee. Perhaps it will be a passage of Scripture Pastor Israel shares that someone has heard before but suddenly understands differently. Years of ministry in Israel have taught the Beit Hallel team that God often works through moments no one could have planned.
The outreach does not end when the buses return home either. When someone wants to talk more, asks for prayer, begins reading Scripture, or wants to understand more about Jesus, the team is there to continue the relationship through personal conversations, follow-up meetings, Bible studies, and the life of the congregation. The Galilee day can open a door, but walking with someone afterward matters just as much.

Soon these numbers will become people. The buses will fill. Meals will be shared. Israelis will look out across the water where Jesus once walked and taught. And later, they will sit together as the Gospel is shared openly and clearly.
We do not know whose heart God will touch that day. We only know there are still people who have never truly heard—and while there is room, we want to make room for one more.
