A Time for Encounter

A Time for Encounter

In today’s fast-paced world, distractions are everywhere. For Israeli youth, daily life can often feel overwhelming as they consider the war, loved ones on the front lines and their own futures protecting their nation. With so much competing for their attention and mental space, VOJI’s ministry at Beit Hallel made an intentional effort to provide these young people an opportunity to step away from it all. They came together to focus solely on one thing – the Lord at work in their lives.

A Time to Play
This discipleship retreat set in the Galilee gave the youth divine encounters with Yeshua. While they were able to hike, play sports and games, soaking in His Word in the serene setting by the Sea of the Galilee was incredibly powerful. The fun activities balanced with times of deep prayer and reflection made this a truly life-changing experience. The intentional structure of spiritual teachings combined with physical activities take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and make this a dynamic memorable experience. This gave the teens fun memories of fellowship as well as spiritual lessons and encounters that are unforgettable.

A Time to Pray
Perhaps the most powerful aspect of this retreat was the focus on prayer. The emphasis was praying not only for personal needs but also for the nation of Israel, aligning hearts with God’s purpose for His Land. Giving the youth space to ask the tough questions during a Q&A session also let them seek answers to the many issues Israeli young people face. Having this very real discussion fosters an environment of trust and understanding, which is crucial for their continued spiritual growth.

On the final day, leaders took this intentional prayer focus a step further and dedicated time to hear f each young person. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully as prophetic words were spoken over their lives. God ministered to their hearts in a profound way. The Lord made it clear this was just the beginning of a new season for the youth as they take on their calling as prayer warriors and watchmen on the walls of their nation.

The powerful encounters with the Lord and with each other are truly setting the foundation for their future as leaders and protectors of Israel. The seeds planted at this retreat will bear fruit for years to come. Your continued partnership with Voice of Judah Israel allows us to provide the opportunities for divine encounters for youth that truly impact their lives and their eternal futures.
