A World Away

In a world filled with chaos, seeking peace is a natural response. It is normal to want to get away from it all. God has given us all an innate desire for His peace. We are inherently hard-wired to want to experience calm in life. Perhaps this is especially true when calm has all but disappeared entirely.

A Physical Reprieve
In Israel, being under constant threat of attack and sirens frequently sounding is a harsh reality. For pastors living in this environment, it can be distracting from their mission to shepherd those who God has spiritually entrusted them with. Voice of Judah Israel recognizes the trials these pastors are facing at this challenging time. This is the perfect time for you to invest in sending Israel’s Messianic pastors away to the serene shores of Cyprus, a short flight from Israel, but a world away from the pressures of their daily lives. There, they will be removed from the chaos and immersed in the Lord’s peace. We need your help now to send them as this retreat is fast-approaching.

A Spiritual Reprieve
VOJI has planned this three-day pastoral retreat in Cyprus. Pastors will find respite from the constant sound of sirens as well as the emotional weight of war. This retreat will offer them the chance to engage in worship, prayer, fellowship and practical training, all within a safe, peaceful environment. These faithful shepherds tirelessly serve their congregations that are deeply affected by war, displacement and uncertainty. Day by day, they pour themselves out spiritually, emotionally and physically, often leaving their own wells empty.

As the familiar saying reminds us, “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Even as our ministry focuses on meeting the needs of the hurting, we must also care for those on the spiritual frontlines – the leaders who the Lord has called to guide their sheep. By giving $150, you make it possible for one leader taking this reprieve to be refilled to share the hope of the Messiah with Israelis. In other words, pour into them so they are better equipped to pour into their congregation.

A Calling – Our Calling
The Apostle Paul encourages us in Romans 15:27: “For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.” Supporting the leaders who serve in Israel is not only a privilege but a calling on all of us as Gentile believers.

For just $150, you will cover the cost of travel, accommodations, meals and participation for one pastor. Your gift will sow seeds of hope and renewal into the lives of those who give so much to others. You are directly investing in the spread of the Gospel in Israel – strengthening these shepherds to continue their vital work. Together, we can fulfill the call to bless the saints in Israel and ensure they continue to stand strong in their ministry. As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 urges us: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
