When I look at everything God is doing in Israel today, I often think about the many Christian friends from the nations who have stood with us through the years. Your prayers, your friendship, and your faithful support have helped us bring the Good News of Jesus to Jewish people, even during some of the most difficult times our country has experienced.
And today, I want to share something very personal with you.
I have been serving the Lord in Israel for 30 years. I have prayed for revival among my people, dreamed about seeing Jewish hearts open to their Messiah, and believed that God would bring these days. But dear friends, I can tell you that I have never seen opportunities like the ones we are seeing right now!
Even after three years of war, crisis, and so many difficulties, God is opening doors. Through our pastors and ministry teams, we are now working in 12 cities across Israel, reaching thousands of people with the Gospel, helping families in need, and standing alongside those who are hurting.
Just recently, we gathered 200 Israelis at Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Many of them prayed to receive Jesus. And this is only one example of what God is doing as we continue reaching Jewish people with the Good News of their Messiah.
But friends, there is something else I need to share with you.
While the opportunities are growing, we are also facing serious financial challenges. The last three years have been very difficult for Israel, and because of changes in currency exchange rates, the value of our incoming support has gone down by approximately 20%.
At the same time, the needs around us are growing. There are more families who need help, more people who are open to the Gospel, and more opportunities to establish congregations and raise up a new generation of pastors and leaders.
And when I look at all of this, I keep asking myself, how can we pull back now?
God is opening doors that we have prayed about for so many years. I don’t believe this is the time to downsize or to retreat. I believe this is the time to move forward in faith!
But we cannot do it alone.
Dear friends, we need to increase our financial support by approximately 20% so that we can continue this work and reach even more people. I am asking you personally to pray with us, to share this message with your churches and friends, and, if you are able, to stand with us financially.
In Romans 11, Paul speaks about the salvation of Israel and how believers from the nations have a part in God’s wonderful plan for the Jewish people. This is something very close to my heart. And when you stand with us, you are helping Jewish believers share the Gospel with their own people.
Through Voice of Judah Israel and our work together with Beit Hallel Congregation, we have a wonderful opportunity to continue reaching people, strengthening congregations, and raising up leaders who will carry the Good News of Jesus to the next generation.
Thank you, dear friends, for your love for Israel and for standing with us through these difficult years. I am so grateful for each one of you, and I believe we are going to see even greater things in the days ahead.
Let’s continue walking together, trusting God, and bringing the Good News of Jesus to the people of Israel.
Blessings and Shalom,
Pastor Israel Pochtar
