Answering Questions and Prayers

Answering Questions and Prayers

Oleg’s first steps in the Holy Land were heavy with questions: “How will I survive? Where do I begin?”

Voice of Judah Israel would help him find that answer. For countless new Jewish immigrants (Olim) like Oleg, God reveals a hope and plan for the future through our ministry. When our follow-up team first encountered Oleg, the weight he was carrying was very apparent. He had just arrived in Israel, stepping into the unknown with only a couple of suitcases and a heart full of uncertainty. Everything was new – the language, the culture, the future – and fear was written on his face.

Peace > Fear

This is exactly why God has called our ministry to be the answered prayer for Israelis feeling lost, vulnerable and alone. Oleg didn’t need just answers to practical questions; he needed to feel God’s presence and to know that his new beginning had a purpose. Our team prayed with Oleg and asked the Lord to cover him with safety, to give him wisdom for every decision and to guide his steps in this new season. The fear in Oleg’s eyes began to fade, slowly replaced by peace, relief and even gratitude. By the end of our team’s time with him, there was a visible change. He had hope. Tears flowed freely, not because of his problems vanishing, but because he realized that he was not alone. God is always near.

A Holy Privilege

Oleg’s testimony is such a keen reminder of the importance of the work VOJI is doing in the Holy Land. Our follow-up team has the honor of walking alongside those who arrive in Israel with trembling hearts and uncertain futures. They often come with nothing more than a suitcase, but God is writing a new story for them in this land. We count it a privilege to stand with them, to pray with them and to remind them that He has a plan for their lives.

Your support is what makes moments like Oleg’s possible. Because of you, we can be there when fear overwhelms, and we can watch as God turns it into hope. Together, we are shining His light, one story at a time. Thank you for standing with us, believing with us and helping us carry God’s love to those who need it most.

“Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16
