Broken Hearted

For 40 years, Nelly has carried a heavy heart. The loss of her young daughter left what felt like an unhealable wound. Each day since then has been a struggle with the pain. That is, until she discovered Voice of Judah Israel’s ministry, Beit Hallel. Everything changed when God brought her to us.

Earlier this year Nelly made the prophetic Aliyah journey from Ukraine to the Jewish homeland, Israel. Soon after the move, she joined our congregation as a volunteer and completed the Alpha Discipleship Course. During the class, she learned more about God’s Word and His love for her.

The ability to have such life-changing classes and events are made possible when you partner with VOJI. The Lord used this course to draw Nelly to Him during this time and she humbly repented, placing her full trust in Yeshua. While this was obviously a major step in her faith journey, she still needed healing for her broken heart.

A Heart in Pain
VOJI was ready to continue this walk with Nelly. As a team visited Nelly’s home, she finally shared the pain she had carried for four decades. Losing her little girl in such tragic circumstances had been a painful weight to carry for so long. She couldn’t speak about her daughter without tears and feeling excruciating pain. Nelly didn’t know she could live a life free of the pain from such devastation.

Our team could hear the ache in her words – a pain so deep it cut the room like a knife. They responded by sharing God’s love and how He is the solution to bringing healing to her deepest pain. She was reminded that God is near to the broken hearted to heal her wounds Psalm 34:18. We prayed that the Lord would bring peace and freedom to her heart.

A Heart Healed
Since praying with our team that day, Nelly no longer carries the same piercing pain when she thinks of her daughter. The burden and grief that haunted her daily for 40 years has finally lifted. Peace that can only come from Yeshua now covers her. Nelly’s heart has been healed in a way only the good Lord can accomplish. How freeing it is to be able to remember her sweet daughter without agonizing pain accompanying those precious memories.
