Supporting the Jewish People’s Return to Israel
When meeting Jewish people who are leaving behind the only life they ever knew and coming to Israel in search of a better future for their families and children, you have to marvel at their courage. These people are facing staggering challenges when starting a new life in Israel.
Arriving with your entire life and all you own packed into one suitcase, you quickly find how much you depend on the kindness of others and how even the basics become a luxury to you.
Time and time again, we hear the people who come to our ministry for help say: “We heard Christians are helping people. Do you think they could help us?” What a rewarding moment! To be known for our kindness is the best reflection of Jesus we can possibly have.
“They will know you by your love.” These powerful words spoken by Jesus are more than just words; they are a call to action!
With hundreds of new families arriving every week, we struggle to keep up with the requests to provide food baskets to needy families. These food baskets enable each family to put food on their table for a month, helping them to stabilize as they take their first steps in Israel.
Would you consider blessing one family with a donation of $30 that will provide them with food supplies for a month? Alternatively, a gift of $300 will help us feed 10 families!
Any gift, no matter how big or small, is a beautiful reflection of the kindness and generosity that defines us as followers of Christ. Could there be any better way to show people God’s love than to help them in their time of need?
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
