When we talk about the most life-changing ministries, discipleship would have to be the first that comes to mind. Not only because it was the last thing Jesus commissioned us to do before He went up to His Father but also because of the impact that ministry has had in spreading the gospel around the world.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
God puts a clear emphasis on training. We’re not born knowing things; we are trained in them as we grow older. The same thing happens when people are born again; they are babies in the Lord, knowing only that they were saved from their old life and are now a new creation but lacking the understanding of what is next.
When people first hear the gospel, many are touched deeply because God’s word does not return to Him in vain. What happens next can determine whether those people will remain on the path of truth or steer from it. That is why Proverbs 22:6 speaks about the importance of ongoing training, which will consolidate people in their walk of faith.
After each Gospel Campaign, it is crucial to press forward with the next natural step after evangelism for the many who received the Lord, which is discipleship. Our periodic discipleship courses launched after every gospel campaign are crucial and life-changing to these new believers.
As we are preparing to launch our discipleship course for our newest group of recently saved, as well as “seekers,” we want to give glory to God for the 40 people who are finishing our previous discipleship course. Every single one of them, having received Yeshua into their hearts, has been trained in the Word of God over the last two months and now has the tools to stand firm on a solid foundation as they initiate their walk with the Lord and become an active member of the congregation.
Please consider supporting our ongoing Discipleship work in Israel, which has proven time and time again how important it is to God and what bountiful fruit it bears in building His Kingdom in Israel.
