Divine Appointment

Something told Chaim to stay, but he didn’t know why. The reasoning would soon unfold and become quite clear. God was orchestrating a divine appointment through Voice of Judah Israel.

The Lord’s Prompting
Peter, a new immigrant (Olim) making the prophetic Aliyah journey from Ukraine, came to one of our recent humanitarian relief projects at Voice of Judah Israel’s ministry, Beit Hallel. At the event, Peter was able to spend time with other new immigrants as well as receive aid he desperately needed. While walking home, he suddenly realized he had forgotten his keys at the distribution center.

By the time he returned, the building was nearly empty. Most people had left, except for a handful of staff, including Chaim. He had every reason to leave but the Lord had prompted him to stay. He didn’t understand why but was obedient to this urge to stay.
When Peter returned for his keys, a simple exchange with Chaim turned into a heartfelt conversation. Peter began to share his story. He had recently been in a serious motorcycle accident. The impact left him with a head injury and ongoing health struggles, including problems with his memory. As he spoke, it became clear that Peter wasn’t just carrying physical pain. He was also burdened emotionally and spiritually.

Not Just Forgotten Keys
Chaim listened, offering to pray for him. As they prayed, something shifted, and they both felt it. This whole situation was no coincidence. It was a moment designed by God. When they finished praying, Chaim looked at Peter, saying, “You didn’t forget your keys by accident. The Lord wanted you here today. This is a divine appointment.” He went on to talk about how life is fragile and unpredictable, especially after what Peter had been through. “We don’t know what tomorrow holds,” Chaim said, “but we can know the One who holds tomorrow. Today is the day to make things right with Him.”

Peter didn’t hesitate and repented to the Lord. The weight he carried lifted and this new chapter in his life with Yeshua began in the middle of the now-empty distribution center. What seemed like a forgotten set of keys was, in fact, God’s way of reaching Peter’s heart. God uses situations for the good and we praise Him for these forgotten keys. Please continue to lift Peter in prayer as he continues this journey with the Lord. You sow into Israel when you support VOJI and a part of what God ordains for His chosen people in His Holy Land.
