Leaving everything you’ve ever known, going to a new country with a different language, and starting over; can you imagine? Sasha, a mother of two young children, recently made this difficult, treacherous, but prophetic journey of Aliyah. Many young moms are overwhelmed going to the grocery store or an appointment with kids in tow, let alone to a new country where they know no one. Who would be there if you needed help?
A Mother’s Decision Sasha’s journey was more than just a change of place; it was a profound spiritual awakening. This shift in location brought about a transformation that went way beyond the physical realm, opening her eyes to new perspectives and opportunities she had never fathomed. At a Jerusalem coffee shop, Sasha met Voice of Judah Israel’s/ Beit Hallel volunteers who were serving there that day. She opened up and shared with the team members about her recent Aliyah journey and her struggles. They in turn told her about VOJI’s humanitarian relief program for new Olim (immigrants), just like her and her children.
It had been so difficult uprooting her children from everything they had ever known – family, friends, their daily routine. She also personally faced intense challenges as she didn’t know anyone in Israel when they made this recent move.
