Don’t Forget Who Brought You This Far | This Week’s Torah Reading

Have you ever noticed that sometimes it is easier to depend on God when life is difficult than when everything is going well?

In this week’s Torah reading from Deuteronomy 7:12–11:25, Moses prepares Israel for life in the Promised Land. For forty years, they had depended upon God in the wilderness. He provided food when they were hungry, guided them through uncertainty, and remained faithful even when they failed Him.

But now Moses gives them an important warning: when the wilderness is behind you, when your needs are met, and when life becomes comfortable—do not forget the Lord who brought you this far.

It is a warning that still speaks to us today.

In this teaching from Israel, Pastor Israel Pochtar explores:

• Why God sometimes allows us to walk through wilderness seasons.
• How difficult seasons teach us to depend upon Him.
• Why prosperity can become a spiritual danger.
• What Israel’s failures teach us about grace and humility.
• Why everything we have ultimately comes from God.
• How Jesus taught us to value eternal things above earthly treasures.
• What it means to love and serve God with our whole lives.

Whether you are walking through a difficult season or experiencing God’s abundant provision, the message is the same: remember the One who carried you.

Our strength, provision, and future are ultimately in His hands. When we remember His faithfulness, gratitude replaces pride and obedience becomes our response to His goodness.

Shalom from Israel!
