Far From Family, But Not Forgotten:
A Young Family’s Story in Israel

Imagine raising your young child in a new country, far from your parents, relatives, and everyone you once depended on. There are no grandparents nearby to help with the baby, no family to call when things become overwhelming, and every month brings the challenge of making one income stretch far enough.

For many young immigrant families in Israel, this is their everyday reality.

Behind the statistics about Jewish immigration to Israel are real people, each with their own story of hope, sacrifice, and the challenges of building a new life. One such story comes from a young family receiving assistance through our humanitarian outreach.

Building a New Life in the Jewish Homeland

Oleg and his wife first met in Belarus. About four years ago, Oleg made Aliyah, returning to Israel, the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people. Today, they are married and raising their young child in Israel while navigating the lengthy process of family reunification.

Like many immigrant families, they are working hard to establish a stable future. But starting over in a new country comes with challenges, especially when there are few relatives nearby to offer practical help or emotional support.

Oleg is currently the family’s sole provider. With Israel’s high cost of living, everyday necessities such as diapers, baby clothes, and other household essentials can quickly become a financial burden.

For this young family, even a little assistance can make a meaningful difference.

Sometimes the Smallest Things Mean the Most

Through our humanitarian outreach in Israel, we’ve been able to provide Oleg’s family with diapers, children’s clothing, and other essential supplies, helping ease some of the financial pressure they face.

Recently, Oleg’s wife shared something that touched our hearts:

“It’s not just about the diapers or the clothes. It’s knowing that we’re not alone, that there’s someone we can turn to when we need help.”

Her words speak to something that goes far beyond the supplies themselves.

For a young mother raising her child without the familiar support of extended family, knowing that someone cares can bring a tremendous sense of reassurance. It means having one less worry, a little more breathing room, and the comfort of knowing that her family hasn’t been forgotten.

Sometimes compassion is expressed through the simplest acts of kindness. A package of diapers, warm clothing for a child, or a helping hand during a difficult month can make everyday life just a little easier.

As 1 John 3:18 reminds us, love is something we demonstrate not only through our words, but through our actions.

Your Partnership Is Helping Families Across Israel

Oleg’s family is one of many facing the challenges of building a new life in Israel. Across the country, new immigrants, young parents, and families living on limited incomes are struggling with rising expenses and the pressures of everyday life.

Through Voice of Judah Israel and our ministry partners on the ground, we have the privilege of providing practical assistance to families who need it most.

And none of this would be possible without the generosity and faithful support of our friends and partners.

As the colder winter months approach, many vulnerable families will face additional financial pressures. Our desire is to continue standing alongside them, helping provide the basic necessities that can make such a difference in their daily lives.

Will you help us bring practical relief and encouragement to more families in Israel?

Your gift can help provide diapers, children’s clothing, food, and other essential supplies to families struggling to make ends meet.

Thank you for standing with the people of Israel and for making stories like this possible. Together, we can help ensure that families like Oleg’s know they are not alone and have not been forgotten.
