Irina spent years practicing witchcraft. She owned many books about white magic along with numerous Baba Yaga dolls. God’s mercy and grace touched her heart during her time with a home group at Voice Of Judah Israel’s ministry, Beit Hallel. After a few short weeks of attending, Irina realized the darkness in which she had been living. She made the bold decision to throw out all her books on magic and the dolls that filled her home. It was a huge step toward breaking free from her past life. However, the journey to her true freedom was only the beginning.
She felt the need for change and was desperate for freedom from bondage but didn’t know how to completely release the chains in her life. The first step began with accepting the invitation from her friend, Sveta, to go to a home group. At the meeting, Irina shared challenges she was dealing with and how she yearned for change in her life. The team was thrilled to walk with her in this desire and welcomed her husband, Yuri, when he joined the group. His curiosity evolved into quickly accepting Yeshua as his Savior, resulting in quitting smoking and drinking, things that previously held a grip on his life. His wife’s story, however, was a much longer spiritual battle.
In Yeshua Alone Irina continued to struggle with alcohol and, in a moment of confused weakness, turned to a spirit guide for help. She kept looking for worldly solutions to her spiritual battle. Irina truly needed freedom from the spiritual forces that were still oppressing her. Tried as she might, it was never going to be what SHE DID that would free her. True freedom is in Yeshua’s grace alone. The Beit Hallel team refused to give up on her and stayed by her side throughout her spiritual battle.
Even though she had outwardly repented of the occult practices by throwing away the witchcraft items, there were still issues that were keeping her from the freedom she sought. The team at Beit Hallel realized Irina simply did not have a full grasp on salvation through Yeshua.
