From Death to Life

Before Vlad encountered the Messiah, he lived a life of crime, theft and destruction. His colorful past led him to a prison cell where the bad news of his past was ultimately going to be erased by hearing the Good News. The seeds had been planted from hearing about Yeshua in prison. Eventually free from the prison walls, he then faced tragedy being brutally beaten and hospitalized. Moments before a surgery, he once again heard the Gospel truth from a woman who visited him. It was in this prayer time with her that he completely surrendered his life to the Lord.

It is never too late for someone to be saved, and no one’s past could diminish what Yeshua sacrificed on the Cross for that person. Soon after this eternity-changing moment, Vlad died during surgery and was clinically dead for over two hours. A community of believers from several Messianic congregations gathered in prayer and God showed He is still in the business of miracles. Vlad came back to life! One of the women interceding for him was a prayer leader who would later become his wife. Together, they came to Israel, bringing with them a testimony that would change lives.

Living, Breathing Testimony
The couple recently had the opportunity to share this miraculous testimony at a picnic hosted by Voice of Judah Israel. When you support our ministry, VOJI is able to host retreats, events, classes and much more with Israelis who haven’t heard the Gospel.

At this particular picnic, it was a mix of new believers, invited friends and those who hadn’t accepted the Messiah as their Lord and savior. The group was deeply impacted by Vlad’s testimony and the women attending were eager to hear more from his wife.  The impact of Vlad’s testimony was undeniable. He is a living, breathing testimony of God’s power to redeem, heal and restore.

As the day ended, our VOJI team took the group to explore the ruins of an ancient city, capturing photos and sharing moments together. Even after parting ways, the messages of gratitude kept coming. Those who attended kept thanking our team for the time together, love they felt and hope they experienced. A woman at the picnic connected with our team member Lena. She was initially closed off, but Lena connected with her in a way opened her heart. Lena has since invited her to our women’s gatherings and other opportunities for fellowship.

Eternal Opportunity
This is why sharing the Gospel in Israel is more critical now than ever before. In a land so deeply connected to Biblical history yet often resistant to its fulfillment in Yeshua, everything VOJI does is an opportunity to change lives for eternity. We can’t do it without your help. Your prayers, support and encouragement have a profound impact on those we serve. Thank you for stepping into the obedience the Lord has called for in standing with the Holy Land and her people.
