God Hears Us

Daniel had worked as a sports journalist in Russia, but the Lord brought him to Israel with a hunger for something deeper. He visited several of the Holy sites since making Aliyah trying to understand more about faith. In one place he felt peace and even holiness, and in another he sensed absolutely nothing.

This perplexed him and he found Voice of Judah Israel a safe place to ponder this. At one of our ministry’s recent discipleship gatherings in Jerusalem, Daniel began asking sincere questions about prayer, where God hears us and why some places feel spiritual while others feel empty. Haim, our pastor and evangelist, was able to counter these questions with answers from Scripture. He read from John 4:24, explaining that prayer is not tied to a building or atmosphere. Because of Yeshua, we can pray anywhere and know God hears us. Understanding began to settle into Daniel’s heart.

Divine Encounters Through VOJI

Lyudmila happened to be sitting at the same table as Daniel and Haim. She had been listening quietly but earnestly. She finally shared that she had never prayed once in her entire life. Growing up in an atheistic society, she never learned how. However, a month ago, after the sudden passing of her husband, everything changed.

She arrived carrying grief too heavy to hold.

The Lord orchestrated her encounter with VOJI through a friend who had evented her to the discipleship evening. As she listened, hear heart softened. Tears filled her eyes as she asked how to begin, what to pray and how she could know God hears her. She wasn’t looking for information. She was reaching for hope.

As the evening came to an end, Haim gently shared that the door to the Father is Yeshua, and only through Him can we taste and see that the Lord is good. Then he asked them both the question that changes everything: “If you believe this, shall we pray together? Shall we invite Yeshua into your hearts right now?” Both said yes.

Experiencing the Lord’s Goodness

There, around the table, Haim led them in a prayer of repentance and faith. Daniel prayed sincerely. Lyudmila prayed through tears as the Holy Spirit touched her heart for the first time. Before leaving, Haim encouraged them to keep praying at home, speaking to Yeshua personally about their wounds and the new hope beginning to grow.

That night in Jerusalem, two people experienced God’s goodness for the very first time.

Since that evening, Daniel has already joined a home group, and Lyudmila continues attending weekly, hungry to learn. Their journeys are just beginning, but faith is already taking root. This is why we serve. This is why these discipleship tables matter. And this is why your partnership makes such a difference. Every open chair becomes another opportunity for someone searching to meet the Savior. Thank you for partnering with us. It means more than you know to people just like Daniel and Lyudmila. Through your partnership they now know without a doubt that the Lord hears them.
