Growing Disciples

Equipping New Believers

TIMES ARE CHANGING IN ISRAEL! The Land of Israel is quite complex, especially when it comes to evangelism and discipleship. The ears of the people have long been deaf to the truth of Yeshua and His plan of redemption. For centuries, the Jewish people have denied the deity and message of their Messiah.

In Israel, we are witnessing a new hunger for God awakening in the people who are hearing the message of salvation for the first time. When hundreds of people stand up to receive the Lord during an altar call, you know you’re experiencing something extraordinary. You are standing in the middle of a harvest.

During our recent Shavuot (Pentecost) evangelism campaign in Jerusalem, we saw God moving in a powerful and mighty way, touching hearts and transforming the lives of those hearing the gospel for the first time ever. It was a spectacular moment, one that only God can orchestrate. Seeing the people’s response overwhelms us with gratitude and spurs us on to reach even more people by spreading the kingdom of God all across Israel.

Anyone who has ever worked in the garden knows there’s a process to it. Nothing happens overnight, and it’s definitely not just a day’s work. Left to its own, a garden will be choked out by the weeds and fail to thrive. It must be watered, weeded, and tender loving care applied to harvest a fruitful crop.

This is where our Follow-Up Team of gifted and devoted leaders comes into play. Their tireless work begins by reaching out to people individually and inviting them to our evangelism campaign. After the event, they spend a great deal of time and effort connecting with the “seekers” who came forward to receive Yeshua. They invite them to attend one of Beit Hallel’s weekly church services or home groups, where they can receive prayer, encouragement, support, free Bibles, and other materials.

This type of work and relationship-building atmosphere cannot be just a one-time occasion. It must be heartfelt, intentional, and consistent so that people feel nurtured and loved. After all, Jesus fed the people before He ever taught a word to them. People need to know we genuinely care. We don’t do this for numbers. We do it for the ONE!

Thank you for partnering with us to see this happen. Your support of our work makes it possible for the Gospel to reach even more Israelis, fulfilling God’s prophecies regarding this nation, until “…all Israel shall be saved!” (Romans 11:26)
