History and Faith Collide

Non-believing Israelis recently wandered through Jaffa’s beautiful, old streets. This city feels like stepping straight into the pages of the Bible. The group, taken there with Voice of Judah Israel’s ministry, gathered outside a house traditionally believed to be the place where Peter received a vision that changed everything. As the team shared the story from Acts 10, they reflected on how God opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles, showing His love wasn’t just for Israel but for every nation. It’s hard not to feel the weight of that moment while standing where it all began.

Bible Brought to Life
With your partnership, VOJI took this group to see the ancient cities of Jaffa and Caesarea to the places where the Bible becomes undeniably real to them. Sergey, one of the team members, brought the history of Jaffa to life, sharing fascinating insights about its Biblical and cultural significance. From Jaffa, they headed north to Caesarea, another city with deep ties to the early church. This was where Cornelius, a Roman centurion, became one of the first Gentile believers after Peter visited him. Being in the city where the Gospel first started spreading to the nations felt profound. They knew they were standing in a place where history and faith collide.

One of the most impactful parts of the day was an encounter with a couple visiting from Ukraine. They’re leaders of a church called the House of Cornelius, made up entirely of military officers serving in the war. Hearing their story was nothing short of inspiring. Despite the chaos and danger they face daily, their faith in Yeshua is rock solid. Their example of standing firm in faith, even in the middle of war, left everyone deeply moved.

Transformative Experience
Later, over a meal in Caesarea, Sergey and Pastor Igor shared their personal faith journeys. As they shared about God’s faithfulness in their lives, they had a very captive audience hanging on their every word. To close the night, Pastor Igor shared the Gospel in the simplest and most beautiful way, talking about how Yeshua’s love can completely transform lives. Several people opened their hearts to God’s love for the first time.

Since the trip, the team has kept in touch with the attendees, building relationships and walking with them as they explore their faith. Thank you for your prayers and support, making days like this possible. Please keep praying for this group and for God to continue His beautiful work in their lives. When you support VOJI, life-changing trips like this can happen. We hope you can see what a difference your support makes in the lives of these Israelis.
