Hope Still Comes from the Lord
When Anna arrived in Israel from Ukraine three years ago, she brought with her a hope for a fresh beginning. Like so many repatriates making this prophetic Aliyah journey, she desired safety, stability, and a new start in the Holy Land. Instead of a smooth transition to this new life, she was met with hardship almost immediately.
All Hope Lost
Soon after her arrival, phone scammers took advantage of her and stole a large sum of money – provisions she could not afford to lose. Police offered little hope of recovering the stolen funds. Left alone to repay the debt, quickly turned her optimistic hope for a new start into a deep despair. Where could she turn? Who could she trust? How would she get on her feet again financially?
God used this very hard circumstance in her life to touch her heart in only a way He can. He used Voice of Judah Israel, with the help of friends of our ministry like you, to reach her when she needed something to hold on to in order to have hope. She was, of course, financially burdened when she encountered our ministry team, but she was also emotionally broken. During conversations with our follow-up team, she revealed how much she felt depressed and hopeless.
True New Hope
Our team listened with care, and most importantly, they prayed with her. This gave our team the opportunity to share that when all human solutions seem exhausted, our hope still comes from the Lord. That day, with her heart wide open, Anna accepted Yeshua as her Savior. Our team gifted her a Bible, and her new journey in Israel began – this time with the one true hope for a true new beginning.
This was just the beginning for our ministry on this journey with her, too. Our team stayed in regular contact through phone calls, meetings, encouragement, prayer, and whatever support she needed. Anna began attending our congregation’s service,s where she heard messages that were clear and understandable. God gave her community through our ministry as everyone embraced her. The worship also deeply touched her heart.
A New Testimony and Life
Today, Anna testifies she has found true joy and happiness in the Lord. Her journey to start over in the Holy Land started off so difficult, but God used it and our ministry to draw her to Him. Where there was once despair, she now has peace.
Anna is deeply grateful for her encounter with Yeshua and for the people in our ministry who have walked with her. Thank you for playing a role in her story. Through your prayers and support, people like Anna – new immigrants from places like Ukraine – are finding healing, belonging, and new life in the Land of Israel.
