One of the most meaningful parts of ministry is watching how God reaches people in deeply personal ways. Sometimes it happens through a message preached publicly. Other times, it begins quietly — through a conversation, a listening ear, or a moment of genuine compassion that reminds someone they are not forgotten. Again and again here in Israel, we see how simple relationships become the doorway through which hurting people begin encountering the love and hope of Yeshua.
Recently, we spent time with a woman named Irina, a refugee from Ukraine whose life had been deeply shaken by the devastation of war. Like many who arrive in Israel searching for safety, she carried far more than physical loss. The war had destroyed two apartments she once owned, along with the stability and security she had spent years building. Although Israel became a refuge for her physically and emotionally, she was still living under the weight of deep pain, fear, and hopelessness.
For years, she had battled depression and relied heavily on antidepressants while trying to cope with everything she had endured. Beneath the surface was a woman exhausted by grief and searching for peace she could not seem to find.
As we sat together and listened to her story, we gently began sharing about the hope found in God — a hope that is not dependent on circumstances or worldly security. We spoke about His love, His nearness to the brokenhearted, and the way Yeshua still transforms lives today. We shared that God sees every wound, every disappointment, and every hidden burden people carry in silence.
Something began to soften in her heart.
Irina shared that although she had always believed in Jesus, she had never truly known Him personally or walked closely with Him. As the conversation continued, she quietly opened her heart and prayed sincerely, inviting Yeshua fully into her life.
Afterward, through tears, she said words that stayed with all of us: “It feels like a stone has been lifted from my soul.”
Moments like these remind us why this ministry matters so deeply. Across Israel, there are countless people carrying invisible burdens — refugees rebuilding their lives, elderly individuals struggling with loneliness, families walking through financial hardship, and people silently searching for meaning and hope. Many would never walk into a congregation on their own, but through practical care, friendship, consistency, and personal connection, hearts begin opening to God in very real ways.
This is the heart behind what we continue doing week after week through Voice of Judah Israel and Beit Hallel. Together with faithful friends and supporters around the world, we are able to reach people personally, walk alongside them through difficult seasons, and create opportunities for life-changing encounters with Yeshua.
Thank you for standing with us in this ongoing work across Israel. Your prayers and partnership help make moments like this possible. Because of your support, people like Irina are discovering that even in the middle of deep loss and brokenness, God still sees them, still loves them, and is still able to bring healing and hope to the human heart.
