It was more than just a sweatshirt or a pair of jeans. For many new Jewish immigrants (Olim) to Israel, the clothing meant more than the item itself. It was what it represented that pierced their hearts. So, what did it represent? You!
Meeting the Need Voice of Judah Israel’s ministry, recently held a huge clothing distribution project. It was amazing to see how God worked through your support. Thanks to you, we were able to distribute an incredible amount of new clothing to Israelis in need. Knowing Christian friends care for them shows them the love of the Lord like they perhaps haven’t yet experienced. While giving them clothes may have represented you, it’s who you represent that really brings the message of hope and love of the Lord to life.
These Olim come with only a suitcase or two with all of their worldly belongs. They then start their lives in Israel in an apartment in a city like Ashdod, Ashkelon, Kiryat, Beer-Sheva among others. They then try to find work and support with so many not knowing Hebrew, the national language. VOJI let’s them know that we are here to see them through the tough times by offering aid and referrals.
