For many years, it was a vision carried in prayer. Long before classrooms were filled with people studying the Scriptures, before discipleship groups gathered around open Bibles, and before worship and prayer rose from within its walls, there was a burden to establish a permanent center in Israel dedicated to the work of the Gospel.
That vision was born out of a simple conviction: if we are to see lasting spiritual fruit in Israel, we must do more than reach people with the Good News. We must also help them grow, disciple them in their faith, equip future leaders, and create a place where believers can gather, learn, pray, and be strengthened for the journey ahead.
Today, we are grateful to see that vision becoming reality.
Our Evangelism and Discipleship Center in Ashdod is already serving as a hub for evangelism training, discipleship courses, Bible studies, prayer gatherings, youth ministry, women’s fellowships, men’s groups, leadership development, and outreach activities. Every week, people from different backgrounds and different stages of faith come together under one roof with a shared desire to know God more deeply and to grow in their walk with Him.
What makes these gatherings so encouraging is the diversity of people whom God is drawing. Some have followed the Lord for many years. Others have only recently begun exploring faith. Some come with strong religious backgrounds, while others are opening a Bible seriously for the first time. Yet week after week, we see people learning together, praying together, asking honest questions, and discovering biblical truth side by side.
Moments like these remind us that the true value of this center is not found in the building itself. It is found in the lives being touched within it.
The conversations taking place.
The prayers being offered.
The disciples being formed.
The seekers discovering truth.
The believers being equipped.
The leaders being trained.
These are the things that matter.
As we look at the spiritual landscape of Israel today, we are continually reminded that God is still at work in the land of the Bible. While Israel faces many challenges and uncertainties, we also see growing opportunities to share the message of Messiah and help people build strong foundations of faith.
Jesus said:
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”
Matthew 9:37
Those words remain deeply relevant today.
The need for evangelism, discipleship, biblical teaching, prayer, and spiritual encouragement throughout Israel continues to grow. Reaching people with the Gospel is only the beginning. Lasting transformation requires ongoing discipleship, relationship, and spiritual investment.
That is why this center is so important.
It is a place where seekers can explore the claims of Yeshua. It is a place where believers can be grounded in God’s Word. It is a place where future leaders can be trained and equipped. It is a place where prayer continually rises for Israel and the nations. Most importantly, it is a place dedicated to helping cultivate the spiritual harvest God is bringing forth in this land.
Although the center is already active and serving people every week, important needs still remain as we continue preparing the facility for long-term ministry.
We are currently working to furnish classrooms, provide additional seating, purchase musical instruments, install sound equipment, and complete spaces that will support both present ministry activities and future growth.
These may seem like practical needs, but each one directly impacts the ministry taking place within these walls. Every chair creates space for another person to learn and grow. Every classroom helps disciple believers and train leaders. Every instrument and piece of equipment supports worship, prayer, teaching, and outreach. What appears to be a simple practical investment today may become part of someone’s life-changing encounter with God tomorrow.
