Prayers at a Picnic

“Olga, you need to make this decision out of your own free will, but Yeshua is ready to change your life, just as He changed mine.” Those words changed the course of Olga’s earthly life and the eternity she will now spend with her Lord and Savior. This life-changing conversation with our Voice of Judah Israel team changed everything!

With reluctance, Olga attended a recent community picnic at VOJI’s ministry, Beit Hallel. Her daughter, Lena, pleaded with her mom to attend the event. With much hesitation, she agreed, and God used our team to impact her life. When you invest in VOJI, you invest in events like these that grow community to which the Lord uses to draw people closer to Him.

What began as a casual picnic turned into a divine appointment.

A Warm Invitation
The warm hospitality of the group put her at ease as Chaim invited the family to join his table. He began to engage Olga in conversation, asking about her life and listening with compassion as she shared the difficult experiences she had endured over the years. It became apparent to everyone at the table that Olga was carrying deep wounds she desperately needed healed by Yeshua.

Also seated at the table was Slava, a recent believer in the Lord. As Olga shared her struggles, Slava felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to speak up. He began to share his own testimony how his life was once filled with darkness, yet he was transformed by the saving grace of Yeshua. He spoke with such sincerity and passion that everyone at the table could feel the Spirit moving. Even Olga, who had been quite reserved, seemed visibly moved. It was then that Slava said the words that would change the course of her life, an invitation to accept Yeshua into her heart. She nodded in agreement and said, “Yes, I need Him.”

Chaim led Olga in the prayer of salvation, and she declared Yeshua as her Savior. After the prayer, her face lit up with joy and everyone hugged her, celebrating her new walk with the Lord.

A Divine Appointment
Later, her daughter, Lena, shared how she had been praying for her mother’s salvation for a long time. This picnic, a mere social gathering for the Beit Hallel community, was the answer to Lena’s prayers. She had even struggled to convince her to come to the picnic, but now her heart was overflowing with gratitude and joy. “All glory to Jesus!” Lena exclaimed.

Olga’s story is a powerful reminder that no one is too far from God’s reach as well as the importance of investing in our ministry ready to reach people for the Lord. What began as a casual picnic turned into a divine appointment. The Lord uses your investment in VOJI to help us have life-changing events like this one. Thank you for sowing into VOJI  and changing lives at events, picnics and so much more.
