Reconciliation in the Middle East

The Middle East has never been more hostile towards Israel than it is today. October 7th unveiled the deeply rooted hatred of Israel’s neighbors that has finally begun manifesting itself — loud and clear. Turkey, which up until three months ago, enjoyed a rich and steady influx of Israeli tourism and flourishing business relations, is now one of the most vocal countries spewing hatred against Israel. Israeli authorities are taking this hostility seriously and have recently issued a safety warning for Israelis traveling to Turkey.
Nevertheless, our calling doesn’t change according to the level of hostility of a country against us. Paul traveled throughout the world, even while being persecuted and his life was threatened. If it wasn’t for his fearlessness, most of the world would not have heard the gospel.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”Deuteronomy 31:6
The annual Middle Eastern Reconciliation conference that takes place in Turkey in February has always been an incredible source of powerful encouragement for our Israeli team. Believers from Israel (both Jews and Arabs)

meet with believers from Arab countries to hear each other’s testimonies on what the Lord is doing in each of our nations. It is an incredible time to connect with fellow believers from all over the Middle East and share the one big thing that connects us all… THE LOVE OF JESUS!
This is something you won’t see on any news network. It will be a rare and precious glimpse into how the healing power of Jesus’ love banishes all hatred. We are blessed with this unique opportunity to witness it from the inside and bring this report back to YOU. Being able to tell you firsthand how powerfully God is working in the Middle East, despite what you may see on the news — will make this trip all the worthwhile for our team, despite the danger.
Please pray for our team’s protection and favor during this important trip, as well as for the spirit of reconciliation to continue healing and binding together what the enemy has tried to tear apart. We are protected by our great and mighty, Elohim!
Consider partnering with VOJI to be a part of the reconciliation bridge God is building in this region. If it is in your heart to support the ministry of reconciliation between Jews and Arabs in this region, join us in action with prayer!
