Restoring Dignity to Holocaust Survivors

Restoring Dignity to Holocaust Survivors

This week marks a somber time in history for Israel, and the entire world. It is a time of remembrance and mourning of the 6 million murdered simply for being Jewish by the Nazi death machine in the Holocaust and also a time of honoring those who survived this attempted genocide.

Currently, there are approximately 150,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel (according to the data of the National Insurance Institute), but those numbers are shrinking each day. Many of these elderly are living below the poverty line in Israel, still struggling just to survive.

A recent survey by the Foundation for the Welfare of Holocaust Victims revealed that 22% of survivors had to give up products and services they needed, including clothing, medical tests, absorbent products, electrical appliances, home maintenance, and other services. There’s no justice for an elderly Holocaust survivor having to choose between groceries for the week or medication.

Many of the elderly survivors live alone, some with no family at all.

When we show them love and kindness, it’s not just about the practical aid in their eyes. It’s about a loving hand, an embrace, and a sense of importance.

Through our Holocaust Memorial humanitarian relief campaign, our goal is to feed hundreds of survivors who struggle not only with providing for their basic needs, but also with acute loneliness.

If there was anything Yeshua showed us on the cross, it was that each and every one of us mattered to him. He sees the individual. He is the Shepherd that will leave the 99 to go find the ONE that is lost. That is the heart of God and what we want to give to our dear Holocaust survivors.

Join us in our effort to restore dignity to this generation of survivors, reflecting God’s love by letting them feel seen, heard, remembered, and honored while there is still time.

For a donation of $30 for each food box, our team will not only deliver each of them the food you helped provide, they will also give them a loving hug in your name. That senior will experience of the love of Christ through your act of kindness.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
