Standing in the Fire, Clinging to Hope

Twenty-four lives have been lost. Hundreds are wounded. Some are still missing. Buildings have crumbled. Families are shattered. Sleep is elusive as sirens fill the air nonstop and anxiety grips every corner of Israeli communities. Fear looms larger than ever before as ballistic missiles rain down, leaving devastation and heartbreak in their wake.

Today, we come to you not just with an update—but with a heartfelt cry for prayer, support, and solidarity. As Israel navigates its fifth day of war with Iran, we’re reminded that this conflict is unlike any other. The stakes are higher, the enemy more powerful, and the animosity more intense. Yet, in the midst of fear, we cling to hope.

The Bible foretold days like these – wars and rumors of wars.

But it also instructs us not to lose heart. Our VOJI teams are standing firm in the land God gave us, continuing to love, serve, and shine light in the darkness.

As the body of Yeshua in Israel, our mission hasn’t stopped; it’s intensified. Now, more than ever, we must push back against fear with kindness, prayer, and the message of hope. This is a spiritual war that requires the whole body to stand in unity, praying and interceding against darkness.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Ephesians 6:12

Let’s stand together as one in prayers of intercession and action. Partner with VOJI to mobilize aid, provide humanitarian assistance, and bring comfort to Israelis affected by this war. When one part of the Body suffers, we all suffer. Let’s raise our shields and stand firm together as one voice, one body.
