Stepping Into the Courage of Esther –
A Gospel Invitation in Jerusalem

The City of Jerusalem is not merely symbolic—it stands at the heart of the Christian story. The prophets declared that from Zion would go forth the Word of the Lord (Isaiah 2:3), and history has proven that what begins in Jerusalem echoes far beyond its walls. In seasons like the one we are living through—marked by tension, global confusion, and spiritual distortion—the need to speak truth in this city becomes even more urgent. When deception spreads loudly across the nations, the response of the people of God must not be retreat, but clear and faithful witness.

The account of Purim recorded in the Book of Esther tells the story of a decisive moment – a moment when silence would have been safer, but obedience was more necessary. When Esther stepped forward, she did not know how the story would unfold. She only knew there was a moment when courage could not be postponed

“And who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:14

That question still echoes—especially here in Jerusalem.

As we approach the end of February, we are preparing for a Purim Evangelism Event designed specifically to reach 150 people from Jerusalem with the message of the Gospel. This is not simply a gathering; it is a carefully planned day of encounter—one that brings together biblical history, present reality, and the living hope of Messiah in the very city where God’s redemptive purposes continue to unfold.

This outreach is intentionally designed to remove barriers and create space for honest, respectful engagement. The day will include a dedicated venue, lunch, transportation, and a guided tour of significant biblical sites in Jerusalem, led by knowledgeable tour guides who connect Scripture to the physical landscape. Walking through the streets where prophecy was spoken and fulfilled creates a unique openness. The Gospel is not presented as foreign or detached from Jewish history—it is presented within the historical and spiritual context where so much of Scripture was lived out

For many in this city, faith conversations are complex. There is history, tradition, skepticism, and often deep spiritual fatigue. Yet there is also hunger—sometimes quiet, sometimes unspoken. The story of Purim reminds us that God is often working behind the scenes long before deliverance becomes visible. In the book of Esther, His name is not mentioned, yet His sovereignty shapes every turn. In the same way, we trust that hearts are being prepared even now.

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news”

Isaiah 52:7

In Jerusalem, those mountains are literal—and the need for good news is real.

The cost to sponsor one participant is $100, covering every aspect of the day and making it possible for each individual to attend without financial burden. Your support ensures that 150 people in Jerusalem will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel presented thoughtfully, respectfully, and clearly.

“How can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard?”

Romans 10:14

Partnership makes proclamation possible.

Like Esther, you are being invited into a moment where your willingness to act can help shape someone else’s future. She stepped forward, not knowing the outcome—only knowing that obedience in the moment mattered. Today, you have the opportunity to step forward on behalf of the lives in Jerusalem who need to hear the message of hope clearly and personally.

Your partnership is more than a donation—it is an act of courage, faith, and purpose. By sponsoring one participant—or several—you are helping create a moment of encounter that could impact a life forever. If you have ever wondered whether you were positioned to make a difference “for such a time as this,” this is that moment. Step forward today and help open the door for someone to encounter the Gospel in the city where God’s redemptive story continues to unfold.
