Stroke to Salvation

Valentina’s heart was heavy with worry and exhaustion.

Her son Oleg suffered a severe stroke and had been bedridden for more than six months. He could no longer move or speak, and doctors offered little hope. Her pain was immeasurable. God ordained a divine intersection of leading Oleg’s elderly parents to Voice of Judah Israel’s recent evangelism event. When our follow-up team member Lena welcomed them, Valentina began to weep.

A Burden Lightened

The heavy burden on her heart was apparent as she shared with raw emotion about his condition. Lena led the couple to our ministry’s prayer team. Valentina requested the team to visit the hospital to pray over Oleg. As the team prayed, it became clear the moment was about more than physical healing. God was calling them to something eternal, the healing of the heart.

“Do you believe that Yeshua, Jesus, is the Son of God, that He died and rose again for you?”

This simple question from our team pierced the couple’s hearts. With tears streaming down their faces, they proclaimed they do believe in Him. Right there, hand in hand with our prayer team, they prayed aloud and surrendered their lives to Yeshua. It was a quiet, Holy moment. When they finished, everything changed. The tears of sorrow turned into tears of peace and even a smile. They received a Bible and words of encouragement from our ministry on how to embark on this journey of faith.

A Spreading Light

The very next day, our prayer team went to the hospital to visit Oleg. He couldn’t speak, but as they prayed for him, the presence of the Lord undeniably filled the room. Partnering with VOJI in prayers and resources impacts families just like this in the Holy Land and provides the hope and tools to grow in a relationship with the Messiah. Please join us in standing on faith for Oleg’s full healing and his entire family’s salvation. When one heart opens to Yeshua, the light begins to shine through the whole house.

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.”
