Parashat Vayechi (Genesis 47:28 – 50:26)
Theme: Finishing in Faith — Blessings, Prophecy, and the Hope of Redemption
Teaching Summary
Vayechi closes Genesis with powerful themes of faith, blessing, prophecy, and hope:
• God’s promises are stronger than exile.
• Blessings shape generations.
• Judah’s royal line leads to Messiah.
• Forgiveness turns evil into tov.
• True hope (tikvah) looks beyond death.
In Yeshua — the Lion of Judah, the greater Joseph, and the fulfillment of all blessing — we find our inheritance and our eternal tikvah.
