Twenty-one years ago, God planted a vision in the heart of Pastor Israel Pochtar—a vision to proclaim the Good News of Yeshua, disciple believers, and build a thriving community of faith in Israel. What began with a simple act of obedience has grown into a ministry that has touched countless lives and become a testimony to God’s faithfulness throughout the land.
As Beit Hallel Congregation prepares to celebrate its twenty-first anniversary this weekend with a special two-day conference, we find ourselves reflecting on all that the Lord has done and looking ahead with great anticipation for what He has yet to accomplish.
When God first called Pastor Israel to step out in faith, there was no way to foresee where that journey would lead. Yet year after year, God has guided, sustained, and provided. Through seasons of blessing and seasons of challenge, He has continually demonstrated His faithfulness.
Over the past two decades, Israel has experienced times of uncertainty, conflict, and profound change. Through it all, God has continued opening doors for the Gospel. We have seen lives transformed through the message of Yeshua, families restored, believers discipled, and new leaders raised up to serve God’s purposes in this generation.
What began as a local congregation has grown into a ministry reaching far beyond its walls. Today, Beit Hallel serves as a center for evangelism, discipleship, worship, prayer, humanitarian outreach, youth ministry, and practical support for those in need. Through food distribution, care for Holocaust survivors, assistance for new immigrants, community outreach, and ongoing discipleship efforts, thousands of people have experienced God’s love in both practical and spiritual ways.
Yet the true story of these twenty-one years cannot be measured by programs, events, or numbers alone. It is found in the lives of people who encountered the Lord and discovered new hope. It is found in families that were strengthened, young people who found purpose, and men and women whose lives were forever changed through a relationship with Yeshua. These are the stories that remind us why the Gospel remains the greatest message of hope for Israel.
As we reflect on this anniversary, we think of the many people who have become part of this journey over the years. We think of the prayers that have been answered, the friendships that have been formed, the lives that have been touched, and the countless moments when God’s hand was evident even in the midst of difficult circumstances. Looking back, we are humbled by His goodness and amazed by His faithfulness.
We are also deeply grateful for the many friends around the world who have stood with us through prayer, encouragement, and faithful support. Your partnership has helped make it possible to continue sharing the message of Yeshua throughout Israel and to serve people in both practical and meaningful ways. The fruit of these twenty-one years belongs to all of us who have labored together for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
This weekend’s anniversary conference will bring together our congregation family for a special time of worship, fellowship, prayer, and thanksgiving. Together, we will celebrate God’s goodness, remember His faithfulness, and renew our commitment to the calling He has placed before us.
Most importantly, we believe the story is far from over.
The opportunities before us remain as significant as ever. Across Israel, people continue searching for hope, purpose, and truth. We believe God is continuing to draw hearts to Himself, strengthen His people, and raise up a new generation of believers who will boldly share His love throughout this land.
As we look back on twenty-one years, our hearts are filled with gratitude. As we look ahead, they are filled with expectation. The God who has guided every step of this journey remains faithful today, and we are confident that He will continue to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine in the years ahead.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the congregation and in Messiah Yeshua throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20–21
