The Rock of Our Strength

The Bible has one of the most powerful and comforting metaphors used to describe God; Tzur (צוּר), meaning “Rock” in Hebrew. This imagery speaks to His unwavering strength, His immovable presence, and His steadfast reliability, especially in our times of need.

📖 Biblical Context:
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.” – Psalm 18:2

The word Tzur brings to mind the image of a massive rock—unshakable, enduring, and strong. In a world full of shifting sands and temporary solutions, a rock represents the one thing that doesn’t change. God, our Tzur, is our unmovable refuge, a place of safety and peace when everything around us feels uncertain. His strength does not waver, and His protection never falters. He is the solid foundation that holds us up, no matter how fierce the storm.
