Walking Where Yeshua Walked

For 60 Israelis, mostly new to the Holy Land, a recent walk took them down the paths Yeshua would have walked, even where He carried His cross. Even more, it was the first time they heard the story of His love and sacrifice presented in such a personal way. The Bible popped open to life for this group at a recent evangelism event with Voice of Judah Israel leading up to the first fall feast Rosh Hashanah which took place the week of Sept. 22.

Our ministry had the sacred privilege of taking them to Old City Jerusalem to hear about their Messiah in the very place He gave His life for them. This walk through history was actually an evangelistic and faith embarkment. They heard the message loud and clear – He is alive, and He still saves. Our team shared about Yeshua’s life, death and resurrection. Some listened intently while others had tear-filled eyes. Later, when all 60 gathered in a hall, the expectancy in everyone’s hearts for the Lord was evident. Our evangelist Haim shared his powerful testimony of how Yeshua transformed his life. The invitation to pray for repentance was accepted by nearly the entire group

Testimonies of His Goodness

  • A woman, Elena, overcome with tears, asked us to pray for her father who is battling cancer. She gave her heart to Yeshua that day and took the prayer of salvation home, determined to share it with him.
  • David, a young immigrant, prayed the prayer of repentance for the very first time. He later said something inside him shifted. He felt a warm presence and now knows God is near and waiting to hear him.
  • Another woman, Christina, still recovering from leg surgery and using crutches, asked for prayer. Afterward she said she felt physically strengthened, able to walk the cobblestone streets of Old City without fatigue. She believed the Lord was beginning to heal her.

After such a moving time of worship, testimony and prayer, our group relaxed and fellowshipped together in a lovely garden in the heart of Old City. Over cups of hot coffee and tea, and trays of delicious desserts, conversations flowed easily. Some shared their first impressions of what they had heard while others asked more questions about Yeshua. Many simply enjoyed the joy of being together in such a peaceful place.

Miracles in Jerusalem

The Fall Feasts open hearts and draws His people to Himself. In anticipation of the Feasts, to see these Jewish immigrants return to the Land in fulfillment of prophecy and encounter Yeshua in Jerusalem is nothing short of miraculous. The garden provided a serene setting to experience His peace, the warmth of new friendships and for seeds of faith to be gently watered.

A heartfelt thank you to every one of our partners who gave towards this evangelism outreach. Because of your generosity, these 60 Israelis were able to come, hear the Gospel and encounter the love of Yeshua in the very heart of Jerusalem. You transform lives when you prayerfully and financially support our ministry. Let’s continue to pray for these new believers, for their families and for many more Jewish people in Israel to experience the joy of salvation through Yeshua.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
