We Will Not Stop!

Almost every morning over the last weeks, our Team Members in Israel wake up to the blaring of sound of sirens. In a desperate rush, they must run to their shelters and wait for the “all clear” to come out again. It would be easy for them to allow fear to win and choose to stay close to where they feel safe.

However, instead of shrinking back, hiding in their homes and shelters, they stand up and say “Today, our hands are busy, our shelters are full, and our hearts are set—we are not stopping.” Even in the middle of grave danger, their hearts are full of gratitude, urgency, and hope that refuses to give up, driving them to do more than ever.

When Clothing and Shelter Become Lifelines

Rocket attacks don’t just damage buildings—they shatter lives. These bags of clothes are actually lifelines. They say, “You’re not alone.” Our team of brave and spirited volunteers, from teens to grandparents, are packing clothing and supplies for families who’ve lost everything

Our underground shelter not just a safe place anymore—it’s a refuge and home. We’ve set up mattresses, handed out blankets, poured hot tea, and made room for everyone who comes through the door.

Families from all over come here, looking for peace, a place to rest, and people who care.

Because of your help, that’s exactly what they find. These aren’t just basic supplies—they’re symbols of peace in the middle of a storm. Every act of love says: You matter. We see you. God sees you.

Children Living with Sirens – A New Normal

One of the hardest things to see is how this war is shaping the lives of children. They’re growing up under constant sirens, spending their days indoors or in bomb shelters. Some are trying to do school on Zoom while explosions shake the city. We watched one little girl log into class on a phone while sirens wailed in the background. This is her normal.

And yet—they are so brave. Braver than most adults. We speak peace over them constantly and remind them:

“Do not fear, for the Lord your God is with you.”

Joshua 1:9

Every Food Bag is a Miracle

With so many people out of work and prices skyrocketing, even basic groceries are hard to afford. But thanks to you, we’re able to keep handing out food bags—each one a small miracle. These bags carry more than rice and beans. They carry dignity. They carry hope. They remind people that they’re not forgotten.

“The righteous care about justice for the poor.”

Proverbs 29:7

Loving People Right Where They Are

Just as their mission is clear to them, VOJI’s mission is also clear: to help our Israeli teams in meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the suffering in the hardest hit areas. Our teams are visiting families, delivering food, praying with them, hugging them, and simply being there—with compassion, support, and the love of the Lord.

Here are our most urgent needs currently:

  • Electric fans ($27 each) and portable Air-Conditioning units ($347.49 each) for public and communal bomb shelters in Ashdod and Ashkelon. Because hiding underground in the summer heat is brutal, and people need relief.
  • Food baskets for families living under fire ($50 each), so they can eat even when stores are shut or unreachable due to missile attacks.

Will You Stand with Us?

VOJI needs your help to continue to be the “hands and feet” that bring hope and comfort to our brothers and sisters. Every gift helps us do more—reach more families, stock more shelters, serve more people in crisis. Every prayer strengthens hearts and keeps them going. Everything we receive goes directly to helping the people who need it most. Your gifts, your prayers, and your encouragement are showing up for Israelis in real, tangible ways—in homes, in shelters, in lives.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”

Proverbs 19:17
