Isaiah 40:1 is meant for you, for me and is meant for TODAY!

The Word of God is timeless, transcending all generations and cultures. Its relevance remains steadfast, guiding and inspiring even in these modern times. Most Christians have read or heard the verse in Isaiah concerning comforting Israel in her time of need. However, many believe because it is part of the Old Testament, it does not pertain to modern-day Christians. But what if… it was written especially for this time and especially for the Christians of today?
 
War in the Minds
Israel is at war, but the fight is not always on the battlefield. The most aggressive part of this war is being waged in the minds of people. From the beginning, the media has twisted the truth of what has happened and what continues to happen in Israel. They spoon-feed their twisted lies and half-truths to a gullible public, who are unaware of what is actually happening. In order to know the truth, you have to hear from the people who are living it.

Such a Time as This

We are being called by God for “such a time as this” to comfort and stand by the Israeli people. When Christians oppose the lies of the media that spread fear and distrust, we show our unity and belief in the ONE TRUE GOD, who watches over Israel and will neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4). Our small gestures of kindness and support go a long way in lifting their spirits and showing the LOVE and COMFORT that is commanded by God.  Consider visiting Israel with your church or group this summer and experience the peace that only our loving Father can bring.
